icon A note from Principal Moss

Welcome to Ashland Ridge Elementary! Where every student experiences high levels of learning and is made to feel special.

My name is Mark Moss and I am honored to be the principal at Ashland Ridge after serving Berg Elementary, in Newton, Iowa as an elementary principal for 7 years. I have also served as a principal in Hudson, Iowa, as well as spending times as a guidance counselor and elementary teacher. I received a B.A. degree in Elementary and Physical Education from Northwestern College, a M.S. degree in Counseling Education from Wayne State College and fulfilled my administrative degree at Drake University.

The staff at Ashland Ridge Elementary want school to be a positive, successful, safe, and rewarding experience for each child. This is accomplished by all students, parents, and staff pursuing academic and social skills excellence. Every staff member is dedicated to providing the very best education for all students. We have a very active PTO organization that provides students and staff with a variety of learning and community building activities. The staff and I will continue concentrating on modifications to make our total school environment a positive and safe experience for all students, staff, and parents.

Respectfully,

Mr. Mark Moss
